Safely operate the 6-wheeler truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in safe, working condition and report any mechanical issues
Load and unload cargo efficiently and securely, ensuring the integrity of the goods during transit.
Plan and follow efficient routes, using GPS, to meet delivery schedules and minimize fuel consumption.
Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations, maintaining a clean driving record.
Maintain accurate driving logs, record deliveries, submit necessary paperwork, and keep all documentation in order.
Coordinate with dispatchers, provide excellent customer service to clients, and maintain professional communication with team members and other road users.
Perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as refueling and cleaning, and report any necessary repairs to maintenance personnel.
Qualifications:
A valid professional driver's license with the appropriate restriction codes for driving a 6-wheeler truck.
Prior experience driving 6-wheeler trucks or other heavy vehicles is typically required.
Good knowledge of road rules and regulations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects when necessary.
