Job Description:

The Applications Development Specialist enables company efficiency through technology by managing and securing information systems. This role focuses on developing applications and integration programs—specifically for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, LS based on requirements provided by the Business Systems team.

Core Responsibilities

• Applications Development & Sourcing: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assist in the technical evaluation of proposed packaged software.
• Project Development: Develop applications and integration programs to ensure projects are rolled out within budgeted time and cost.
• Mobile & Web App Development: Utilize leading web development tools to design business applications and databases that are properly normalized.
• SDLC Documentation & Agile: Create and document all database scripts, program codes, and procedures using optimized design methodologies and Agile practices.
• Incident & Problem Management: Provide second-line troubleshooting for enduser concerns and handle application support as needed.
• Change Management: Document all modifications made to existing database scripts and procedures while maintaining version control.
• Automated Reporting: Develop automated reports using Power BI and other inhouse application reports.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce Data Access Policies and ensure compliance with internal and external IT security regulatory requirements.
• Shopify Integration: Design and create integration programs and APIs between Shopify and Business Central to ensure data accuracy and system availability.
• DevOps & Testing Automation: Implement DevOps best practices and testing automation tools to manage application version control and ensure optimal performance

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years (for Junior Specialist) and 5 years (for Senior Specialist) of professional experience in application development with a focus on ERP systems, Business Central, LS, POS, Web/Mobile App Development.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any IT-related course (e.g., Computer Science, Math).

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Object-Oriented development tools, Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), Serverless DB. 

• Business Central, NAV, Power Pages, Power Apps, AL/CAL, HTML, CSS, JS, PHP 
• Power BI, Phyton 
• Familiarity with web development tools and methodologies. 
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. 
• Experience with DevOps pipelines and Testing Automation software.
