Job Description:

 

• Design functional and non-functional test cases that verify requirements and validate functionality.
• Analyze and understand user stories/business requirements and technical requirements for validity, feasibility and technical soundness and decompose them to extract positive and negative test scenarios and strong acceptance criteria.
• Detect, report, and track software defects
• Execute all levels of testing including but not limited to: System, Integration, Component Level Regression
• Use methodical and repeatable processes to verify releases meet quality standards before launch
• Apply Quality Engineering principles throughout the SDLC/agile product life cycle to identify defect and design flaws
• Collaborate with the development team to improve the quality of the deliverables and ensure the business needs are met
• Profile manual acceptance criteria and test cases and evaluate automation opportunities
• Create and maintain reusable components, functions and libraries to reduce maintenance costs, increase efficiency and scalability
• Log and track defects to successful resolution
• Collect metrics to measure test progress and quality outcomes

• Graduate of B.S.Computer Science or related courses
• Minimum 2 years of software/application testing experience
• Experience working in an Agile Development environment a plus
• Familiarity with development practices like Unit Testing, Test-Driven
• Familiarity with one or more scripting/programming languages and/or tools such as Oracle PL/SQL, MySQL
• Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
• Good knowledge of quality assurance, testing and/or software development processes and methodologies
• Ability to learn and support new test methodologies and tools
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel
• Ability to provide technical training to team members and business users
