Job Location: Taguig City

Job Description:

• Responsible for establishing and overseeing BI and Big Data strategy including, developing patterns, what technology solutions are appropriate and where, and developing frameworks and some shared objects for use across all technological solutions.
• Lead R&D efforts to determine and choose best fit BI technology, oversee development of patterns by solution architects, technical and application architectures to be used in conjunction with solution architects in the business
• Participate in Technical Review Boards and oversee the development of governance models, standards, templates, and architectural requirements within BI and Big Data domains. Develop Training program and conduct in-depth technical training for IT personnel.
• Provide advisory and consulting services to solution architects across the Clients’ system that are using BI and Big Data technologies.
• Oversee the technical development approach for key platform and foundational projects that are simultaneously going on globally.

Qualifications:

• Education:  M.S./Ph.D. Computer Science/Math/Physics/Statistics or related major.
• 7-10 years of Java/J2EE and related technologies
• 5+ years with LAMP stack
• 1-2 years of experience working with large data sets (Terabytes # Petabytes), developing data architectures for large data sets.
• 1-2 years of experience with Big Data tools (Hadoop, HIVE, PIG, HBase, etc.)
• 1-2 years of experience developing production quality Map Reduce jobs
• 1-2 years of experience developing Big Data solutions for the cloud (AWS, Azure, Google, private clouds, etc.)
• 7+ years of experience developing architectures and solutions for traditional BI systems (SAP BO/BW, Microsoft SSRS/SSAS, Microstrategy, Tableau, etc.)
• 7+ years of experience developing architectures and solutions based on RDBMS and Data warehousing (Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, SAP BW, Teradata, etc.)
• 1-2 years of experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, etc.)

In addition the candidate must have experience in implementing solutions in at least 80% of the following key areas:

• Development Tools / Languages: Java, J2EE, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, IntelliJ, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, PHP, Python, Erwin, IBM RAD, IBM Rational Rose, Eclipse.
• Hardware / Operating Systems HP-UX, IBM AIX, Win 95/98/NT/2000/XP, HP 9000, IBM P Series, EMC#s, Free BSD, Suse Linux, Redhat Linux, ubuntu, VMWware, Xen.
• BI, Big Data / Databases: Oracle 9.x, 10g, 11g, Microsoft SQL Server, mySQL, postgres, IBM DB2, Big Table, Hadoop, Hbase, Cassandra, mongoDB, DynamoDB, Microstrategy, Tableau, BusinessObjects, Cognos, Teradata, SAP BW, Microsoft SSAS.
