Design, administer & optimize database/solution performance. This includes ensuring the availability of client/server applications, configuring all new implementations and developing processes & procedures for ongoing management of the environment
Identifies client needs and customizes MAX by making design and development modifications
Responsible for ensuring optimal performance of MAX
Functions as a point of contact for the clients in regards to MAX technical support
Keeps pace with all advancements and developments of the software
Maintains knowledge of technological improvements and best practices by updating MicroStrategy & other IT certifications, reviewing publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies
Qualifications:
Possess the experience of managing the database(s) for a full scale BI platform implementation.
Oversee the performance, maintenance and configuration of multiple databases within the MAX/MicroStrategy environment.
Gather requirements related to administration. Proven ability to develop, test, document & implement infrastructure solutions. Experience working with an off-shore support team and/or third party network vendor support team.
Possess a high-level understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence fundamentals.
Proven project history of moderate to high level complexity, willingness to own & enhance technical process efficiency, and strong aptitude for ensuring detail oriented transparency.
Work independently with good trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
Manage projects, adhere to milestones & deadlines and manage all related resources.
Possess excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills in US English.
Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple 3rd party vendors & Client internal support (software, server, internet)
Synthesize and process complex technical information and present in easy to understand terms to non-technical users utilizing documents and diagrams.
